M.Sc. Applied Chemistry

A master’s degree is a graduate-level degree program. Programs at this level usually offer in-depth study. An applied chemistry degree program focuses on combining chemistry and engineering. Scholars in a program may learn about various aspects of chemistry, such as nanomaterials, corrosion science, analytical chemistry, liquid chromatography and spectrometry.

The students who learn applied Chemistry will specialize in polymer engineering, catalysis and medicinal chemistry. The MSc Applied Chemistry course offers a good base for further research work such as M.Phil. and PhD. The course provides students with a high-quality education in applied chemistry that helps them move forward in their chemical research. The course helps students get jobs from various industries like petroleum companies, chemical industries, perfume industries, and research organizations.

The post-graduation programme prepares students to pursue leadership, technical and management positions in different companies from various industries. The students who have cleared the post-graduation programme have obtained prestigious job opportunities in leading multinational companies.

Students may also study natural resources, environmental contamination, occupational health and safety, risk management and environmental toxicology. Courses may also cover physical and materials chemistry, such as colloidal chemistry, nano-biotechnology and photocatalysis. Programs may include a research project that lets participants put their studies to practical use.
